Who are we

THE NADA É IMPOSSIBLE INSTITUTE is a civil association governed by private law, non-profit and whose purpose is:

1) Promote the educational and cultural development of students by providing tools needed to further develop their English and soft skills.

2) Provide social innovation by investing in educational trips and conferences through donations.

Georges and Pedro Mimassi are the founders of the initiative.

OUR OBJECTIVES

Education in Brazil reflects the vast disparities in income and opportunity across our country. We face a challenging reality — but denying it only allows it to persist. Working to reduce inequality is our greatest goal.

We aim to prove that creative and viable teaching methods exist, and that the exchange between the more privileged and the less privileged is not only possible but also beneficial and transformative. Our motto is clear: Nothing is impossible.

One of our main goals is to expand access to quality education for public school students, scholarship holders, and even private school students who, for various reasons, don’t have access to this kind of learning. We’ve created an approach that is light, engaging, and effective. Our focus is on developing soft skills, which are now essential for adult life and relevant to any profession.

We also strive to democratize access to the best teaching practices, allowing students to discover the power of public speaking and the English language. By teaching through the Model United Nations (MUN) methodology, we promote inclusion. Learning how to argue based on well-researched, factual information; practicing diplomacy; and engaging in the rigorous structure of MUN conferences creates a rich, dynamic, and transformative environment.

In August 2025, we will celebrate two years of classes and practice — and we can already say that this model is a success. Our students have competed with peers from private and international schools, from educational worlds far removed from their own. And yet, they stood tall, competed with the same skill sets, and often won. They brought home awards earned through hard work, commitment, and learning.

That’s why we believe this model deserves to be scaled. What we need are individuals who dream with us — who believe in the democratization of quality education, in a fairer, kinder world where everyone has the same opportunities.

The importance of skills acquired by MUN

Our Mission

Our NGO’s mission is to expand young people’s horizons and give them the tools to reach their maximum potential. By organizing a leading team composed of fluent English speakers who have experience in debate setting, Nada é Impossível aims to expose students to MUN environment, helping students dominate argumenting skills and gaining English proficiency. Some of the skills our NGO aspires to help the students develop are: public speaking, negotiation strategies, knowledge in the areas of history, geography and geopolitics, as well as many other abilities that we deem crucial for winning a debate.

Strategy

Our strategy begins at the early stage of selection, where we choose which students will be able to participate in our program. By identifying students in the public school system who stand out academically, as well those who showcase ambition and leadership skills. After selecting the pupils, our group of volunteers dedicate themselves to teaching classes on Saturdays, exposing the students to formal MUN debate techniques, tackling communication skills in English and preparing them for the conference’s atmosphere. We take pride in being able to align these abilities with making the students also feel prepared for their future.

Our Method: MUN

The MUN conferences highlight many crucial lessons for young adults. These lessons include: negotiation skills, team work, organization, oratory, confidence and formality. All of these qualities are vital to form agents of change.

Partnerships

Travel and conferences have a high cost, tickets and accommodation will be provided for by the NGO. To do this, we need partners who believe in this project and finance these students who could never make this type of trip on their own. We will be monitoring and providing all the support necessary for the trip to be successful.
